Hilda Ferry

Born, raised and educated in Ireland (University College Dublin), I worked in London in the banking sector and then embarked on the path of teaching English abroad.

I taught in Edinburgh and then in Barcelona, teaching intensive courses for Banesto, in preparation for the Olympic Games, and at the same time taking a course in Hispanic studies at the University of Barcelona.

Arriving in Milan in 1992, I specialized in English courses for the academic sector and spent several years at the Catholic University, collaborating with researchers and assisting them in the preparation of international conferences. Subsequently, I taught Business English courses for ENI group executives who had to move abroad, and Business communication and language skills courses for the pharmaceutical industry, commerce and the banking, insurance and human resources sectors. I have prepared many students and professionals for tests to obtain Certifications.

Over the years I have acquired the firm belief that, potentially, all students are able to acquire the language skills needed to move safely in the English-speaking world. It’s just about accepting the challenge.

My English courses can be tailored to individual needs: simplified or enriched to make them relevant and meaningful for everyone.

Today I offer online courses and above all residential courses in my panoramic country house in the Ligurian hinterland, where the setting of meadows, woods and hills helps to create a relaxed and serene atmosphere, congenial to rapid and profound learning.
